The Edgenics High School Concurrent Program offers students the opportunity to receive college credits for courses that also count toward satisfying high school graduation requirements. All students are eligible to be considered for participation in the Edgenics High School Concurrent Credit Institute. Each applicant will be evaluated by Edgenics and an admissions officer at the Edgenics University to which the student applies. Students seeking to participate in the High School Concurrent Credit Institute must have the approval of their school principal and guidance counselor.
Many local high schools participate in a concurrent credit program whereby students are able to receive college credit and also have that credit count for high school work. Students should check with counselors at their respective schools for information on concurrent credit opportunities.

The Edgenics High School Concurrent Credit Institute offers all the standard courses that are available to freshman and sophomore level college students. These college level courses span a variety of subjects. The table below lists the courses that are typically available during a given semester.

This program will also be particularly attractive to students in secondary schools that do not offer advanced placement courses or lack certain courses required for college admission.
The High School Concurrent Program offers students an opportunity to get a head start on a college education. By taking concurrent credit courses while in high school, students can reduce the total elapsed time and the total cost of obtaining a college education. Students can also be ready to pursue a career sooner.

Students can realize substantial savings by taking advantage of early admissions, concurrent credit, or concurrent enrollment programs offered by the Edgenics High School Concurrent Program.
Special benefits are available to students who major in Teacher Education and become elementary or secondary school teachers when they finish college.
Chinese Language and Culture
Edgenics, in collaboration with selected University Partners, offers school districts assistance in establishing and enhancing
Chinese Language programs. A new national priority is focused on establishing and enhancing Chinese language and cultural courses in elementary and secondary schools. Under this
initiative, Chinese Language and Culture courses will be
provided to develop students': communication skills; abilities to speak, write, present and interpret the language; and knowledge of Chinese history and culture. The courses will incorporate Chinese cultural information as part of reading, writing, and speaking the language. Chinese Language and Culture courses are based on Mandarin Chinese. Computer based and online tools will be provided to assist students in learning and using the Chinese language. From the novice Chinese language student to the advanced linguist, there will be challenging and insightful instructional course components.
Edgenics offers award winning software systems, designed by language experts, to facilitate Chinese instruction. These programs contain personalized lessons that give special attention to pronunciation and everyday language. These computer / internet based programs provide rich audio and video content that supplements other traditional instruction. |
